While our's is a so called evolved brain that finds ways of getting into trouble with nature, their's (birds/animals) is an evolved way of life to live in peace with nature :-). While we are thinking of the differences between us and them, they just simply live the life nature has designed for them to the T, no questions asked, no attempts made to make a change. If there be a need for change, then nature takes its own sweet time to bring it about, until then, they just live their life unlike us human beings who take it upon our evolved brains to attempt a correction only to fail miserably! Mother Nature...tussi great ho !
